Cal 2-29 rudder stuffing box

Cal 2-29 Rudder removed during major refit. The pedestal steering is definitely Edson but the rudder stuffing box is definitely not Edson. Sent Edson photo of the rudder tube with box and they said this box not one of theirs. My question is who made this box and are parts available. Upon removal there was porous washer with almost a woolen consistency (not flax) about 1/4 inch thick This fit nicely into the box and was accompanied by three hard fiber washers 1/16 thick that also fit nicely into the box. The top of the box and lower part that is glassed into the lower rudder is in re usable condition. I could have new this fiber washers made and then stuff with flax but would rather go with original setup as it has worked well.
