I am almost finished with my inside repairs. Getting ready to paint the cabin top I noticed some peeling around the old Gibbs cowls on my Cal II-30. I have taken the cowl out and resealed it, but they also look kind of old from the outside. I am having a hard time replacing the cowl with a new one or even solar vents, because the cut-out is only 3 inches in diameter. After looking for hours to find something with a 3" cut-out I gave up. The cabin top is pretty thick and I would like to avoid having to enlarge the hole. Has anyone seen a solar vent or cowl with a 3" diameter cut-out? Gibbs are no longer available. See attached pic. Any help is highly appreciated.
