Cal 2-27 bow anchor roller

After spending 9 days at anchor, and proving that a 25 pound CQR brings a lessening of anchor anxiety, we need to install a bow roller. It's a tight fit between the pulpit and the stem fitting. For us, we have to replace the nav. lights, and move the hawse pipe to the anchor locker from right behind the stem to a suitable location.

I'd appreciate photos and advice from anyone who has a Cal 2-27, or 2-29 with a bow roller.

(Hauling up the CQR over the pulpit rail, undoing shackles and stowing below isn't going to work for an extended period.)

Many thanks,
Harold

I added a bow roller and large cleat to my 1978 Cal 2-27 a couple of years ago to handle a 22 lb Rocna. I think this link will still work for pictures I posted once before.

Let me know if you can't get to the pics or if you have any questions about what I did.

Rick

(Edited) I think I figured out how to get the pics in the post itself:
