I need to replace my original aluminum fuel tank on my cal 33-2. Are there suitable pre fabricated tanks out there.
Thanks

I bought a tank over 10 years ago from Florida Marine Tank, who made the tank in my 1985 Cal 33-2. I have attached the dimensional drawing I made before I found Florida Marine Tank, and their fabrication drawing which they sent me for approval before fabrication. I don't know if they are still in business.

I suggest you check the dimensions of standard "below deck" plastic fuel tanks. They are inexpensive [ especially when compared to an aluminum tank ] are Coast Guard approved, lightweight, and cannot corrode. We have installed many of them in a wide variety of boats, with excellent results. As with any "below deck " marine fuel tank, be sure to correctly ground it to the deck fill plate, so static electricity is returned to ground.
