I rescued Ma Jolie, a 1959 Cal 24, Hull #21 in Bucksport Maine this year. She is beautiful, but needs work. I will be fitting her with solar/wind for electric propulsion and OpenCPN electronics.

Does anyone know if both bulkheads by the V-berth are structural? Both are aft of the mast step, I would think only the V-berth bulkhead is structural, but hope to find knowledgeable Cal owners here to share their wisdom.

Thank you in advance.

I Know the "Ma Jolie". Intimately ! I have owned Two 24's and I am best friends with Ann Ebeling from South Brooksville ME, original Owner/ Builder. She and Peter built "Ma Jolie" as a kit supplied by Jensen Marine ..... I knew Jack quite well. We, the four of us were aboard his Cal Cruising 46 for an intimate dinner that evening before he and Nancy Spencer took the 7 year voyage around the world. Nancy passed on just one week ago. More ? Contact ROY CUNDIFF "RCundiff@aol.com" 562-310-7638. I plan to call her tomorrow as I do nearly every week and will tell the terrific news that you have purchased her. RC
