This is a testing, testing kind of post. My first effort failed because my computer remembered the wrong username. I keep a Rolodex--yeah, a paper file--to remember all the damned usernames and passwords. The old Yahoo method gave us all the postings as e-mails, which I liked. This new one requires logging in and then picking the topics.

The latest Practical Sailor had a good article on fuel storage & deterioration, a follow up on an earlier one, mostly inspired by the various ethanol gas formulations. Apart from moisture, the principal culprit in gas deterioration is metals like copper and zing (galvanizing) in the fuel system.

If you would like to set up email digests to be sent to you instead of checking the forum, there are several ways to do it. One way is to go to the "Digests" tab in your user control panel. You can set it up to send you emails there. Note that you may need to share your time zone to activate it. Update your time zone in the "Board preferences" tab in your user control panel, then click "Submit" before visiting the Digests tab and configuring your email digest settings.
