Hi to all, we live year-round in Summit County of Colorado and sail out of Frisco Bay Marina on Lake Dillon. Our mountain terrain and altitude of 9,100 feet makes our sailing pleasures different than our cruising friends and racing friends who have a more typical sailing life. All blow and no go, is the slogan up here as the thin air, which gusts powerfully, has a bit less actual push and pull than the sea level air. Mountain passes and ridges make the wind churn and bounce around wildly but it keeps us on our toes. As do regular summer monsoons accompanied by lighting which form around 1:00 on summer days.
Will welcome any input from fellow Cal 2-27 (Jensen) owners. I bought this boat (hull 329) and began restoring her in Early 2017 and love the boat in nearly every respect. Looking forward to a continued happy and long learning curve you guys will be sharing with me. Best to all. Don
