hi folks,
Ive had alegra, a cal 28-2 for about 5 years now, but we are new to this group. Thanks ahead of time for any help or advice.
I sprung a leak in my automatic bilge hose. Looking to replace the whole line, i followed the hose into the opening just starboard of the engine bay, (which was full of slime, and seems like a whole other project for another time), and followed it under the head (i have a small access panel there), where it then disappears up into the starboard side lazarette. reappears in lazarette where it goes through manual pump and back to through hull.
I figured it would be relatively straightforward to replace it, just run connect the new to the old, and pull it through. but the hose seems to be jammed tight against the fuel tank, and will just not come through. there doesnt seem to be any good access to access this area, unless theres some panel i can remove that i just am not seeing.
anyone had any experience with this?
thanks,
amit

Just some thoughts. 1st and foremost try and get as much light on the subject as possible. Check along the starboard
bulkhead in the port stern berth. Check under the cushion and see if there's any access through the storage area. In other models bulkhead panels that were removable were hidden by trim. If you can get another set of eyes on it, Have one person shine a bright light into the area you're trying to access and then look for light escaping around a panel. Hopefully one of the group with direct knowledge of your boat will chime in with the precise answer. Good luck.
