Genoa size for Cal 31 Question

Hi, I recently shredded my headsail and it's time to buy a new one. I believe it was a 150% genoa, but I read a review of the Cal 31 which mentions a 145% size (https://www.practical-sailor.com/review ... 140-1.html).

Of course the answer from my sailmaker was "get whatever you want." But I'm wondering what the boat was meant to have, so I get the right balance. Has anyone purchased a genoa for the Cal 31? What size did you get? This is for cruising and I will have only one headsail.

Most 31's for sale seem to have a 150 so I guess that's the standard.

I have a 1981 Cal 31. New to me in September so no idea if genoa is original (not too beat up so probably not). Just had it in for a new UV cover at Northwest Canvas and Sail in Port Hadlock and got the measurements...

Luff 40.417 (ft)
Leach 38.25
Foot 18
LP 17.416
I = 41.5
J = 13.5
So it's a 130%
