Folks, www.calyachts.org is still up and running. (Who was taking care of
it? Was it Ward?) In any case, I assume that we have a large amount of
storage there. Not as convenient as posting on Yahoo, to be sure, but it is
a site more or less under our control, and probably a good repository for at
least an archive copy of the FTP content.
Sadly, some of the references on the site point to the SailNet FTP site, and
thus are broken. If there's a webmeister in our midst who would like to take
over responsibility for this project, I know that you will never go thirsty
in the vicinity of a Cal lister. (Actually, I'd recommend that one person
organize a small posse of volunteers, to spread the workload, and provide
backups in case someone has to drop out for any reason.)

Hi all,
For those of you who care (everyone, I'm sure) I uploaded two pics of my son
Carter into
my photo folder. I know he's not sailing content, yet, so I'll delete them
tomorrow.
BTW, we're already at 92% of our storage capacity (30 MB), at least in the
photos area.

Alright!!
Sorry about that post.
Now....not only is calyachts.org still running.... but I just
discovered from my own personal archives of "the list" that the old
yahoo/geocities cal site is still there too! Complete with all the old
membership list, pics and music and all. It was last updated in 2001by
someone. I recall that it was put together by Rusty Russell..... but
there is some references to Ward doing some work on it back in 2000....
The link I have to it is :
http://www.geocities.com/calwebmaster/BackUpIndex.html
Check it out.... there is different music on each link throughout the
site....
all the more reason to stay with yahoo.....

This may be a very easy site to update for curent use as it is a yahoo
entity
