I'd like to stay with Yahoo. I have been subscribed for some time to a couple other yahoo groups, and they are virtually trouble free. I also like having all my group activity in one spot, viewable online, rather than in my mailbox, especially when we are out cruising and don't check mail for days on end. girlsaylor

The current trajectory at Sailjazz seems expected by most, and already included in my decision about moving. The comments about people and business skills, and the apparent indifference toward the fates of their groups still seem valid. Its a bit painful, yes? Sailnet is back, but as a ward of a for-profit business. If it doesn't produce the expected market for them, how long would it take to become neglected or change hands? It's unfortunate that the Boyles killed the goose that laid the golden eggs, but they have. I'm sorry for them, and I would have stayed with them had they marketed their fee system more intelligently, but they didn't. Having now been exposed to Yahoo, and seeing the group's satisfaction with it, I'm in no hurry to go back.
