Cal 9.2 Folding Prop ?
ng… [at] comcast.net2005-11-09 02:03 UTC
Hi, Question for owners of a 9.2 or another Cal with the 11 HP M-15 Univ Diesel engine.
I want to get a folding prop before next season. Would like to know what type others have to help me decide. I'll lose PHRF credit seconds for changing ( 9sec /KM ) but many have told me to get rid of the anchor I am dragging.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Later, Nick 'Jade' Cal 9.2

Nick,
Take a close look at the MaxProp before you go with a folding model. I have a 13" 2-blade MaxProp
on my sailboat, and it performs quite well in both forward AND reverse.
Good Luck

Cal 9.2 #19 has a Martec 14x12RH cruises at 6.5 knots at 2900 RPM. Reverse is weak with a little typical prop walk to start. 2GM20 engine.
