Bob - That's a good site with some great info. I too have my boat for sale and have received about 10 of these scam emails in the past 2 weeks. That's the last time I put my email address on an add of any kind. Kevin Cal 2-34, Asterix

This is a scam. You should get as much info as you can (without giving them your details) and report them to the authorities. Nick "Jade" 9.2 I currently have my '83 Cal 27 MkIII for sale and am curious if anyone on the list has experienced what has happened to me. I received an email offer to buy the boat site unseen. Just a brief description and some pictures brought the following offer. The buyer's agent will send me a check for more than what I am asking for the boat (50%) more. I than cash the check and return the overpayment to him. Once the check is cashed, he will have someone pickup the boat and deliver it to the buyer. This has to be some sort of scam, but if I cash and deposit the check, can it be? Any advice is greatly appreciated YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "Cal_Boats" on the web.
