Capt. Tenacious, is the 2GM20 a 20 horsepower diesel? Unless replaced, the 9.2 has a universal 5411, rated at 11 horsepower. Also I am curious how they got a 14" prop on. Mine did not have the clearance from the hull. Using the calculations (which, I think is, 1 1/2 times the diameter of the prop shaft) of how far back to have the prop from the strut, my new prop is only 1-1/2" from the strut only allowing a 13" prop. I sure like the speed you get out of your boat though! Daniel Casey "Air Time" Cal 9.2R #75 Santa Barbara, Ca.

Its 16hp, I shot a couple photos of the prop when I was re-sealing the keel bolts. I still have to have the film developed( old technology)I'll add the photos to the 9.2 web site. --- ai… [at] aol.com wrote: > Capt. Tenacious, is the 2GM20 a 20 horsepower > diesel? My understanding of the Yanmar 2GM20 was that it is rated at 16hp @3400 rpm continuous and 18hp @ 3600 rpm max (intermittent). And the hp ratings are a little on the conservative side. http://www.landseapower.com/gm.htm TomT eric roline <cp… [at] yahoo.com> wrote: Its 16hp, I shot a couple photos of the prop when I was re-sealing the keel bolts.
