Hi Tom, it sounds to me that your prop is definitely too small. I regularly see 5.6 knots with the Martec 13/10 eliptical. David with the Cal 2-29 Mariposa has a 14/12 folding prop and his boat moves at 6.2+ knots during our channel crossings. The 29 is heavier and not as slippery as the 9.2, but it does have 1 more hp with the single cylinder diesel. As stated in my previous post, the 13/10 does OK, but I believe we would benefit from a little more pitch because the 5411 has more to give.
