Batten down the hatches (Again)
Well another storm has just about exhausted itself. Todays high winds
were 56.6 knots. We took turns patrolling the docks looking after all
the boats in the marina. Even with the best of foulies, one got
soaked from the driving rain, which at times was horizantial. It's
surpising just how many people don't use the proper sized fenders. A
good number of the fenders were totally collapsed or burst outright.
One other thing, don't attach the fender to the life-lines, that can
cause expensive damage when they rip off the life-line. Tomorrow
promises to be a nice day; sure hope so, it Sunday which is race day.
