Cal 2-27 Rudder Post
Michael2006-03-09 13:32
Hello Listees,
My 2-27 has developed some side-to-side play in the rudder post.
Depending on the sea conditions, steering can be "sloppy".
I found a posting at http://pages.sssnet.com/go2erie/qa3.htm that
suggests this can be repaired using epoxy mixed with graphite.
Personally, I'm thinking about having Magic retrofitted with rudder
bearings.
I'm looking for input. Any suggestions, recommendations, experience,
and/or thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
