Victor (or is it Vic), please describe what you need to work on. I
don't think the originals that still exist would show you much (a lot of
it has been lost). Materials have changed too. We here in Annapolis
have worked out all kinds of repairs for the boat. Most of it passes on
by people getting assistance, and then assisting others.
Don't know if JPEGs will make it through, but attached is one I've been
working on.
Cheers
Charlie

I have a bit of work to do on a '72 Cal 25 and was pointed towards this
site as a possible source for construction drawings.
Might any of you know where I might find some?

That's the nicest looking Cal 25 I've ever seen. I was part owner of
one about 1969-70.

I'll be rebuilding the entire interior aft of the bulkhead.
The reasons for wanting drawing of her are two fold, first I would
have a good idea of how she should look, exact measurements are not
necessary although I'd like them; secondly her lines would look nice
on the wall.
That is a beautiful Cal.
Might any of you have drawings of any sort?

RE: [Cal_Boats] Re: Cal 25 construction plans (Vic)

I just realized that the Cal 25 drawings were the one set that Bill Lapworth
was unable to locate when we set about getting drawings for everyone.
Actually, though, as I was going through his drawers of drawing sheets, I
did find them. He had stuck them in with the Cal 27 drawings. I was going to
go back a couple of months later to help Bill finish the copying and mailing
process, but by then his Alzheimer's debilitation had proceeded to a severe
level and Bill wasn't able to focus on anything for more than a minute or
two. Peggy wasn't able to help and really didn't want to deal with it, so I
just sort of backed out.
Several of you have asked me to contact Peggy. I don't want to do this right
now, because I am experienced with giving care to an Alzheimer's victim. It
is beyond stressful and depressing to watch someone you love just slip away
into an alien being. I know Peggy well enough to feel certain that this
would simply upset her.
So I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope of getting the drawings, unless
somebody, somehow got a set of the prints before Bill misfiled them. You may
want to cross post your request or ask someone else to do it for you.
Perhaps Charlie Hussar could help or someone on the SailJazz, Sailnet lists
or who is active in the Cal 25 Association.
Sorry, but I had forgotten this until I went back over my diary of getting
all those prints out a few years back.
Best.
