Charleston, SC boater dies while trying to save his dog
It's amazing to me how often dog owners die in
jumping from a boat and trying to save a dog
that has jumped off the boat or has been washed
overboard.
Frequently the owner dies and the dog survives.
Dogs are not rational and they can jump from
boats under duress. You should have a body
harness and a flotation device on them and
if it gets choppy the harness needs to be
secured to the boat.
