We used a straight enamel paint. I'm pretty sure it was Interlux Brightside, but I don't have the can here. It has a good gloss, holds up well, and the Bay gunk scrubs off easily. Looks about like new even after a few years. Alfred Poor 1969 Cal 29 #132, "Pentaquod" Hi, All. An old topic and a weak memory. What is the best paint to use on a boot stripe? As we discussed in the old days, some of the compositions like Awlgrip will bubble up after extended contact with seawater. Cheers Charlie
