We used the Scotch "green" tape. It's plastic and pretty expensive, but it
sealed really well and gave us a sharp line. (And no matter what tape you
use, take it off just as soon as you're finished painting.)

Just curious...what did you use to take the edges??
The 3M Blue masking tape doesn't seem to have a very fine edge.
