The missing table was actually in a poor place to begin with. Originally, the pop tops had a fold up table near the campanionway opening. There was a base screwed to the floor which allowed you to remove the table and post for storage....then you could just ram your foot into the base whenever you went into the cabin. I still have my table....stored in the garage, not on the boat. I think a portable table would be a much better use of space in the pop top cabin.
Can't comment too much about the other issues you found as I have never encountered them on my boat. I have a 1973 model, hull #255. She has been a real pleasure for me in the five years I've had her. I paid just under $6K for her and later added a new outboard and furling gear. Sounds like you might have a good deal if the other issues can be researched and corrected.
Regarding the pop top itself, there is not a lot of solid material in them. I believe they have foam-filled or empty chambers so as to keep them "relatively"light. I would think the repairs on the pop top would be fairly easy to make.
