This just in: Shpritz won the cruiser division of Channel Islands Race, leading the non spinniker boats (inculding a Catalaina 387) accross the finish line. More later, but we sailed in winds gusting over 30 knots and saw 12.7 knots momentarily on out Garmin Venture GPS. We actually got the boat up on a plane! Congrats Jerry! That must have VERY COOL going that fast! Good work correcting out first. Be careful they will change your PHRF rating. Hey when can we see some photos of yout boat? Love to see her. There is a Cal 30 in Richmond, Marina Bay. A lady named Liz owns her. She painted the top sides Navy Blue and the house white with cream (buff) non-skid. Very classey looking boat. There was also an article 2006 Ocean Voyager Annual Handbook of Offshore Sailing magazine by Bill Morris. He circumnavigated his 1966 Cal 30 Saltaire. He left San Pedro in 2000 returned 2005.
