Hi, Chris. CAL 25s do not do the event. As we get older, the boats
seem to get ever smaller.
Cheers
Charlie

Anyone else doing the Solomons Island race this weekend?

Charlie,
Two years ago (maybe three) at the after race party I met a big guy who
raced a Cal 25 named "Night Moose." So, I know for a fact that SOME Cal 25s
DO do the event ;-).
Last time I did this race it was on a 27" Pearson Renegade and I think it
took us just under 24 hours to finish. We spent the first 2-3 hours drifting
with the tide in the wrong direction. I'd really like some wind this year.

Chris, I was talking about the CAL 25s as a one design Fleet. I cannot
speak for the less sane among us. :~]
Cheers

Charlie,
It is a fairly long race (45 miles?) for small boats and notorious for lack
of wind, or south wind--right on the nose. Still, it would great to see a
herd of Cal 25s sailing off into the night together.
Hope to see you at the GOB regatta this year.
Best,
Chris
