RE: [Cal_Boats] sliding hatch parts HELP

Hi, All. I did it with a metal piece called C-track. Got mine at
Performance Sailing in Annapolis. Am interested in the Alameda stuff.
The C-track is a tight fit, but it works on my latest rebuild. Scott,
I'll show it to you. Kind of kinky on the install. Align, slide, a
screw, align, slide, a screw...
Cheers
Charlie

hi scott,
I'm working on a similar project in San Francisco we should stay in
touch maybe we could help each other?
I heard you could get those at this place in Alemeda , CA. It's called
Sylvensens (spelling?) . It's the marine shop at Alemeda Marina.
Sorry but I haven't made it that far yet. Won't attemp changing those
rails till september. Keep me posted on your progress.

Hi all, I'm rebuilding the pop-top on my flat top Cal 25. The
old hatch
slliders (plasitc) have cracked off, leaving the sliding portion
of my
pop-top free to "take a tumble." Does anyone know of a source of
tracks/sliders for companionway hatches? If the tracks are
different, I
don't mind installing new, so I'm not worried about matching the
original
track.
I have the pop-top off the boat in my basement while i install
the new deck
core and beam, so I figured it was a good time as any to do
these repairs.
Your assistance is appreciated,

Thanks Charlie!
Mike Miller was working with someone to fabricate new composite sliders, but
has had limited success. I would love to see what you used.
Thanks!
