I signed up a few weeks ago but havent been back. But, it is pretty
interesting. Let me know if you sign up and what you find.

Anthony has started driving in the
pilings:
“ I'm starting to work on a
website for all to enjoy. It will also be Cal Yacht club for those that
are interested to chat, share, etc. I'm
starting to work on a website for all to enjoy. It will also be Cal
Yacht club for those that are interested to chat, share,
etc.”
That’s great news! Thanks for taking this on.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help if you want it, as I suspect there
are a number of Web savvy participants who might not be willing to
launch such a project, but could be convinced to pull on an oar from
time to time.
One of the past incarnations of the Cal List Web
site had a great feature that I’d love to see replicated, if
you’re interested and are willing. It was a “push
pin” map of the country (world?) and we could enter the lat/long
coordinates of our boats, and provide names and even a picture, I
think. I believe it was a free feature implemented from some other
service, so if you stumble across something like that and can implement
it on your new site, I think it’s a great
feature.

Every time we change forums, we lose members who don't want to make the
effort to switch. We've grown comfortable here, and we're now over 250
members strong. Why do we need to switch to another forum for discussing
things.
Feel free to create your web site, I think it's a great idea, but why can't
we link it to the yahoo group forum instead of having everyone switch again.
The only reason we drifted away from SailNet is because it went away for a
while and hasn't been too stable since.
Just my $.02
Cheers,

I agree Scott. No need to switch at all and thats not my intention.
There's room out there for growth so I thought I would try it out.
