Mike, I too was a jet boat guy (Eliminator with 454) before moving to sailboats. It's funny, going from a toy that goes 80 mph (as we know, jet boats only have 2 speeds -- idle and foot mashed to the floor) to a boat that only does 5-8 mph. It is a big change, BUT, I have found sailing to be so much more challenging and satisfying. I think one of the things that hooked me, is the challenge of me, against all the elements that "Mother Nature" and "Murphy" constantly throw at you.
