That may be the 36 on my dock in San Pedro. The owner lives aboard and it's been out of its slip the last couple of times I was up there. It used to live in the Bay Area. There were not that many 36s built. Hugh Rogers had one named Whimsey II and Barry Berkus had one named Intrepid. Both did Transpac and I think both trophied. Pete Schoonmaker doesn't think they are as fast for their size as the 40 but they are pretty boats and pretty big inside. They are very cool boats.. Mike From: Randy Alcorn <saylorran@...> Hi Mike, I saw hull # 1 Thursday night. She is sailing the Channel islands for the next two weeks. Her name is Rosebud and she hails from San Pedro Ca. She had a name before that and she had done a few transpacs and a trip around the world. Her new owner gave me a tour and she is still a very beautiful old lady.
