Hi Fin
The Boat is Kismet, winner of the 96 Vic-Maui. we intend to keep the name.
We cannot find the hull number anywhere - have any idea?

From paperwork: Official Number 518261, HIN WNZ0290AA666
The broker said she started as a 1966 boat show boat including the Chicago show, then went to Minnesota as "Snark", then came to the NW as "Kismet".
Thanks for passing on the message to the Cal 40 group.

Good Idea Fin, it's sail 6823.
Also known(all in Wa state):
12/2/96:
-sellers Charlie & Deborah Guildner, Brad Paris, Marlene Bolster,
Christopher & Allison Thomas (probable winners of 96 Vic-Maui) sold Kismet
to
-buyers J Patrick Carey, Barbara Carey, Richard Droppleman, Mary Orvis,
Carol Overdahl, Jan Solga, Peter Whitehead, Daniel Wolfe. (98 Vic-Maui DNF?)
6/8/99:
-sellers J Patrick Carey, Barbara Carey, Richard Droppleman, Mary Orvis,
Carol Overdahl, Jan Solga, Peter Whitehead, Daniel Wolfe sold Kismet to
-buyers J Patrick Carey, Jan Solga, Linda Blakeway
11/30/99: Linda sold her share to Pat and Jan
8/14/06: D Keith and Susan Shroyer bought from Jan and Pat exclusively.
The broker told me that Charlie's dad is possibly the one that brought
"Snark" to Wa, maybe Bellingham and changed the name to "Kismet". She also
thought that it might be hull #23, but don't know where this info came from.
Thanks for the help, Susan
p.s. I'm sending this info on to Mike Kennedy Conquest Cal 40 # 96

You might look at the bottom of the drawers in the cabin. They were often numbered
witgh hull number.

Fin,
Charlie SAYULA #128 sent a copy of The Roaring 40's Roster. It lists Kismet
as hull# 99. So, it appears the mystery is solved as the listing shows the
previous owners w/ this info.
Thanks for your help and suggestions. Susan
