I guess the actual berth must be placed more forward in the aft-cabin floor plan than my q-berth in order to get that 54 inches. It sounds promising, since a double bed is 52 inches wide! A broker in Fajardo suggested that there is surprisingly good ventilation back there, too. Have you found that to be the case, Andrew?

Happens all the time. Just got a letter addressed to Mr. Andrew Robert.
Yes, the ventilation back there is pretty good. In my configuration,
there is a forward facing hatch located in the head (part of the 3rd
cabin). With that open and the port at the foot of the berth open,
there is good ventilation even with the door to the cabin closed. The
port side cockpit seat is also hinged and you can open that as well
which makes it almost like sleeping in the cockpit.
