Re: [Cal_Boats] Re: Cal 29 sails for sale and SailCare(Randy and Bruce)

I had a good time. I worked later than planned and got a 4 pm start. Winds started out light but picked up closer to the islands. The wind and current kept me on starbard tact all the way across and up to Santa Cruz. I got there around 930-1000 ish. Dave and Bill (CAL 34 Allegria) flashed me in with a spot light and helped settle me in. They had Tri-Tip waiting. I missed the big party earlier. Only a few of the gang was left standind. But some of them was still up for the party on the surfers boat. They danced and got crazy until some fell down the campanion way..
Saturday, Eric (CAL 29 Barefoot) came over and introduced me to the gang at coffee. We mustered on Seqouya. A big J boat. After that everyone hung out on the boats, went for a hike and just putted around the caves in dingys and kayaks. At cocktail hour everyone started moving from boat to boat again and David and Dan shared stories. They got stuff about everybody. We ended up on Airtime and two young women came by and joined the party. Last I heard, one of them was ready for a mean game of poker. We had to make food so we left.
I think I may end up on the story list. After I got back to my boat. I went overboard. I ended up swimming over to Allegria, Dave came and picked me up in the dingy. I learned to leave a ladder out.
Sunday was uneventful until someone on the Dive boat started panicking and screaming while they tried to swimm. Dan jumped into the dingy and went for the rescue. Poor Dan got a ass chewing for messing up their demo on what not todo in the water.
After that it was a hot sail home. Not your normal Soutern Ca weather. I sailed her right into the slip.
I had a great time and spent the weekend with people that like to do what I like to do.

Hi, Randy -
How was it out thereunder the full moon with all those Calmaniacs? Maybe if
Bruce can't get them to fit on his boat, he'll put you on a list to sell
them to you.? Bruce?
There are a lot of good sails there. And if you sent them to SailCare, you'd
have ones that would easily be good for another ten or so years.

Rog,
If I can get these on a Cal 28, I'll take them if someone didn't beat
me to them. Let me know.
