Bob, Charlie has your HIN right. You've got Hull #3. The Cal 39-2 was introduced in the Fall of 1976 in the Cal newsletter (can be found on the Sailnet FTP site), which announced it would "be presented at selected winter boat shows and general available at Cal dealers by early spring [1977]." So your's being laid up in February 1977 as hull #3 makes perfect sense. Next year you'll definitely have to bring it to Caltopia.
