Re: A Left Coaster's Look at the GOBR (Rog)
Thank you, Rog and Mike, for your accounts of the GOBR that are worthy of
being set to music with some travelog footage. Well, perhaps if only for a
limited audience. It's a wonderful event, in my not-so-unbiased opinion, and
I'm glad to have the independent confirmation of same. And thanks for all
your help, Rog. You will always find a welcome space aboard Pentaquod.
Us locals were honored to have some Left Coast Listees in attendance, and we
hope that this is the start of a beautiful tradition. We can always find a
slot for a visiting sailor, and anyone who can bring in another participant
for the Cal 29 fleet will be subjected to over-the-top demonstrations of my
personal appreciation.
And maybe someday I'll have the opportunity to take my mandoline "26 miles
across the sea" for a little sing-along on the sand.

P.S. And Rog, that was very kind of you to not mention how close we came to
T-boning Bob Gibson's beautiful new "Crescent Moon", serving as the
committee boat, at the start. We'll just keep that as our secret; nobody
needs to know, right?
