Bill, Congrats on the T/2 finish. You should have been team racing with
the CAL 40 to bring her in second. Mike, I thought that CAL 40 number
looked familiar.
What area was the race run in? Also, I did not know that any Coronado
25s were still sailing (facetious). There were some boats of intriguing
vintage in the second fleet listed.
Cheers
Charlie

Thanks, Robert. Neat perspective. I know some of the neighborhood.
What happens when the CVN-68 rolls in during the race?
Funny you call it Hot Rum. I was out there two weeks ago in a T-shirt.
Come out and race Frostbite with me in Annapolis any time. Every Sunday
till it freezes over plus Hangover Bowl on Jan. 1.
Cheers

CVN-68 (USS Nimitz) did not roll in but another navy ship did, perhaps a guided missile frigate but I couldn't see it due to the genoa blocking my view. This during the final run to the finish. When we tacked to cross the finish, a large 50 footer tacked and it's stern swung into us and the crew needed to push us off. The CAL 40 Nozomi witnessed this and they encouraged us to protest, which we did. Venerable Lowell North had another great finish (9th) in his J-105 (sail #105) while Dennis Conner finished 17th in 1D35 Tobasco. Reggie, you MUST convince the Missus to take a winter vacation in San Diego so you can crew with us.
