Dutchman Boom Brake

Thanks to Randy Alcorn I started to look into jibe preventors for my
Cal 40. I am cruiser and not a racer. I am currently prepping my boat
for extended offshore cruising and want to get all lines lead into the
cockpit for safety reasons - the jibe preventor is the last line to be
addressed. I found a product called the Dutchman Boom Brake that looks
to be very simple and effective and operable from the cockpit. Does
anyone in the group have any experience with the Dutchman Boom Brake
or know of other similar products? The Boom Brake web site is
http://www.mvbinfo.com/dp_03_BB_brochure.html
Thanks again Randy for getting me focused on safety!

Hi, Keith -
I've had one on my Cal 2-30. my long-since MacGregor and my long-since Cal
20. These things wok as advertised and are the right answer for non-racers.
