Smaller inverters are pretty cheap these days. What I did was get a good set
of jumper cables, cut the alligator clips off one end, solder a connector
that fits onto my 1500 watt inverter so when I want to use it I can simply clip
it onto my battery and away I go. The reason I did not mount it permanently
is because I want to be able to take it camping with me. I have however
mounted a 12 volt power point (available at West Marine) for gadgets.
