Does anyone know where to find the specs for the Cal 25 Mainsail and Genoa? Thanks, Sabine Try the all-new Yahoo! Mail. "The New Version is radically easier to use" – The Wall Street Journal http://uk.docs.yahoo.com/nowyoucan.html

Yes. Cheers Charlie OK, OK. I was joking. Are you talking just dimensions, or with a view to racing. If racing, is it one design or PHRF? Go to Bacon Sails: http://www.baconsails.com/database/boatspec.php Then CAL, then 25-1 (flush deck) or 25-2 depending on your boat model. The data is accurate except that the beam of a flush deck is 8.0 feet. For an explanation of the letters, go to "measuring" on the home page at the top. For genoa, J measuremt of 10 and I measurement of 29.75 feet (that is within a half inch). For one design, we can have 150 percent genoa, for PHRF is is 155 percent (without penalty). It is hard to provide cloth weights any more with the modern materials. It is all fiction. For the main, we have an 11 foot foot and 25 foot luff. Most of these are still dacron and you would go around 6 ounce cloth. Reef points are up to you. We no longer have penalies for battan length. Like PHRF, batten restrictions were removed, but watch the size of the roach on the leech of the sail. If the roach sticks out too far, it is hard to tack the boat, because the roach hangs on the backstay. When this happens, is is better to shake the backstay than the the sail to get it loode.
