Sabine is currently in Florida. I think that is why she has not checked her e-mail. We had a good motor up from Newport Beach, the winds were a steady 6-8kts from the stern for the duration of the trip. The total trip time was 8-9hrs. Nasty cross swell/wind waves when leaving newport at 5:30am, but the ocean was almost glassy on arrival at MDR. No problems. (except the lack of sailing). Some common dolphins in the morning off of newport, but they were long gone by the time the sun came up. There were two common dolphins off of Pt. Fermin, but alas no grey whales during the trip. We had a nice visit at Minney's on the return car ride, lots of good stuff as always. Matthew Wallace 1965 Cal20 "Cisco"
