Crew Wanted
Fred Haas2007-02-04 19:12 UTC
Next Sunday, Feb 11, Tacoma Yacht Club will host the Govnor Teats
Memorial Race from it's clubhouse. The race is significant to Cal
people in that it honors G. Teats, the long time owner of White Squall,
the only Cal 40 flush deck built. White Squall will be racing under the
command of her current owner, Roger Deitz, Govnor's son. There should
be a bunch of Cals on the course.
My 3-30, Nemesis, is entered in the cruising class. Primarily a
single-handed cruiser, I view racing as cruising in the company of
others. And cruising as racing anything on the horizon, but that's a
different story. I'd be glad to have any Cal listees join me for the 6
hour maximum event. Nemesis is well found, and equipped. We have enough
cockpit canvas to keep us dry in the unlikely event of rain in the
Puget Sound in the middle of February.
If anyone would like to join me, please reply by email or to any of my
various phone numbers. I look forward to seeing you.

Fred,
I would very much appreciate receiving as many photos of White Squall as
anyone can take. I have just two from the Internet now, but I am very
interested in seeing better photos of her up close and personal.
Thanks.
Bruce Stirling
