And /Good Old Boat/ magazine, another one published on the Great Lakes (up on Lake Superior), is also national in distribution. The good news for us middle-coast sailors is that these magazines do pay some attention to inland-seas sailing. It's unlike /WoodenBoat, /a fine magazine but one with a sad state of myopia that doesn't recognize any waters more than a few miles inland from the east or west coasts. By the way, for those who do not understand the Great Lakes, a friend sent me some photos taken aboard a Great Lakes freighter in November (remember, that's when the Edmund Fitzgerald went down). They show the vessel--probably a 700-footer-plus-- being covered in green water. It's humbling in the extreme. I can send them along to anybody who wants to see them, off-list (we can't attach photos here, can we?). Chris Campbell > > >

Klaus, We keep our boat at Sea Harbour. Our Cal 33 is right next to another Cal 2-27 and across the dock from a 2-25. It's been a while since we have made the ride down from Greensboro. Way too cold on the weekends to enjoy sitting on the boat lately. Are you a member of the NSA? Their Shrimperoo is coming up soon. John Raxter Oriental NC
