Known as the most successful sailmaker in the world, Whidden, age 57, is also one of the most experienced America's Cup sailors in the modern era. Whidden has sailed with Dennis Conner in every America's Cup challenge and/or defense since 1980 (a total of eight) and has won the America's Cup three times.
