clarifacation on fiver's move......
fi… [at] aol.com2007-04-13 07:14 UTC
Greetings......
i was just lying here tonight and taking note at how slow this
Great Group had become in the last two days. and listening to how very badly this
country has taken this "Dom Imus" thing overall. and well, fiver was having
second thoughts on her recent post concerning her impending move from the
coast to the bread-basket......
"Missouri" i have been back there, and i really like the locals.
they remind me of my Father, and why the hell not. He was born in those parts,
and those parts don't change. it's not like it is out here on the coast, or
heaven forbid; <casts her eyes to the south where the nuts all role...>
i grew-up in Portland, Or. and that place takes it's self just way
too seriously. but i think that all of you way, way down there in Cal-Jensen
land; just as those of us up here selling the world $0.25 worth of windows
for $198.98 a shout (how dumb can people be), have a pretty good coat of
"Teflon" (registered trademark) on our backs by now to let any of this stick.
but all over in between, and from here to a lot of points east it
seams (if fiver's brother had read what she wrote, Oh No!). well i just
wanted everyone to understand that the only thing fiver felt Springfield was
missing was Salt-Water, and a few Thousands of Fathoms of depth.
the sailing really will not be that much different. just a little
change of rules for the restricted waters is all. you know; something simple
like say...... go straight and turn right!
<giggle, giggle>
fiver,
Master of The "BB-54"
one of the famous Cal-28 flush-decks
out of Sierra-5, Papa Hotel (in days gone by)
now resting outside my shop
Federal Way, Wa.
(built like a Battleship; sails like a Sub......)

Yep, you're right... people DO worry too much about dumb stuff. Who
cares about Imus... they PAY him to say that kind of stuff, then, when
he goes a tad too far or someone get's REAL offended, then everyone acts
all "concerned" like it's important. WHO CARES? I don't see anyone
trying (or succeeding) in getting Howard Stern fired... Hell, he's on
satellite now and can say ANYTHING. Oh well, I need to worry more about
things like new running rigging and gelcoat crazing, etc.
Marsh
P.S. I keep forgetting... is there a story behind the "sails like a sub"
inyour sig??
