Andy, I believe you could have a fixed bow sprint fabricated for no more that a couple hundred bucks. It could be made fully functional for flying a gennaker too (for those great sails back from Catalina). I saw such a bow sprint on a Swan at the Oakland Sail Expo years back and took a picture of it because I'd consider adding one if I sailed down south. We are in a temp. slip in alamitos marina. We were just approved to move into a permanent 30' slip in the Downtown Marine. I have an outboard motor so adding a swim step to then add a davit would from my understanding be out of the question. We also own a 12' dinghy.
