Re: [Cal_Boats] Re: [SFBay_Cal_Boats] SF Bay Raft Up this year?
oops, that should have been, "the fog won't set in *until* around nightfall." The mornings are usually foggy, until around 9 or so. Of course, just because I've seen this 7 times in a row doesn't mean the next time it won't be foggy all the way there and back!

Re Drake's, in the summer odds are the fog won't set in around nightfall. That's the way it's been in my 7-odd overnights at Drakes in the last 5 years. OTOH, if the weather doesn't look good, we can have a secondary location planned inside the bay.
July is usally a good time for me to plan for events like this, since there's less racing going on.

Kathy and I would be interested in a raft up somewhere. So far we seem to only batting 500 with attending things. We missed one Cal raft up and made it to the next one ( only two of us there), and we made it to the first Caltopia, but we are going to be in Greece during the second one. So, statistically, we should be able to make another raft up. I like the idea of Drakes Bay, but do we need radar for the summer fog?
Best regards,

Or sail-in? Or other Cal activity this year, before Caltopia?
It would be cool to get the boats together somewhere like Ayala, Clipper Cove, or even Drake's Bay. The latter would be my choice, for a weekend trip.
Anyone else interested?
