Joe: Some friends up here in MT bought the Cal 31 I've drooled over for years. It is hull number 1. Gorgeous boat. Time for an engine upgrade. It has a little 2 cylinder Volvo. They say it is only 13 horsepower, and is well over 30 years old. They have been researching possible replacement engines and are leaning towards Beta Marine. Is it a relatively simple (compared to rocket science) changeover? Seems I recall Beta has relatively standard replacement setups for a number of engines. Would that old Volvo be one?
