That Gerber that was recommended looked nice. I received the Myerchin listed in the link below as a gift. I've used it to cut a wrapped line off a prop and shaft on another persons boat. I've also used it to cut a palm tree branch that was wrapped around my prop shaft. In both cases, this knife cut thru this stuff like butter (something I really appreciated since I was free diving).
Whatever you get, go with a serrated blade and blunt tip.
