Pop-top rigging photos for those interested . .

Hello all!
I've uploaded some photos of our '72 Cal 27 pop-top rigging for
newcalowner (Paul Pierre Clements), and anyone else interested. They
are in the FILES section in the Cal 27 pop-top 1972 folder. I didn't
rig the mainsail due to the over-abundance of May Flys (fish flys). I
hope to rig the mainsail before departing on another boat for the
Huron Doublehanded Challenge next weekend.
I hope the photos show the main and traveler well enough..

Hey Dave... GREAT Pics.. thank you!!! I am in the process of
restoring a 73 Cal27 PT and they were very helpful. The boat was
rigged for racing and it was awesome to see what I am assuming is
the original setup. The traveller on #13 is set up right at the
forward edge of the cockpit.
As soon as we get the running rigging dialed in I too will post some
photos.
Thanks again,
Susan

Susan,
Actually, Candy Cane WAS rigged to race, and the PO raced it MORC on
Lakes Erie and St. Clair. He included all the bells and whistles-
Spinnaker, hatch canvas, sun shield, cushions, 3 head sails, topping
lift, vang (4:1), and backstay adjuster. It came equipped with a Vire
6hp inboard.
I took off the spinnaker hardware when the halyard shredded 4 years
ago. I am re-rigging it again, and I'll have more photos soon...
Dave
PS I'll be waiting for those photos!
