Hi all, Put the newfound metals portlights in the head area (see attached photos) and they are nice. Install wasn't too bad. I rented the drill guide which helped a lot. I did have some trouble with the last dog adjustment but, made a cell phone call from the boat and one of the guys at the company talked me through the fix. Turns out that there was way to much loctite on the threads. Nothing a propane torch, some vise grips and my limited musle power couldn't handle. I had to go with the teak spacers also because of the wall thickness of the cabin but, I think they add a bit of class. Also put in the bug screens. It's so nice to open them and not get wet or deal with the leaks (reason I replaced). I appreciated the reccomendations from the cal group. Oh, one other thing, the old portlights were just epoxy glued in from the inside. Is that normal? Mike Birch Serenity Cal-29 Milwaukee TV dinner still cooling? Check out "Tonight's Picks" on Yahoo!
