Good job Bruce! I think the Catalina had to start working hard and pay attention to his trim and driving not to get beat up on again. If you had new sails you would have out pointed him and crushed his speed. The sails are the gas pedal. If you put bad gas in your car it doesn't perform as well either. If you were to get new sails, you would probably wonder why you did not do so sooner. The difference can be that dramatic, if you get the right ones. Racing, which is what most of us do, whether on the race course or just spotting another boat out on the water, was my motivation. I don't like looking at other boats backside. Speaking of racing, We gave a spanking to a Ranger 33, Lindbergh 26, Ca 28. and Newport 30 last night, beating the closest boat behind us by 12 minutes on a 1.25 mile course in 3-6 knot winds. It feels great when you manage to do everything right in a race for a change..
