Jeeze, Charlie after all the effort they went thru to write a song about 90 ft of Cal and you go and screw
up the rhyming scheme. :) See you at the GOBR.

Sabine, penury is not a state restricted to students among sailboat
owners. And some with great means are just plain cheap. I tell people
that all my boat possessions do not add up to the cost of a fancy Beemer
or Benz.
I believe the insurers will not take care of wear and tear items. You
will need to have someone ram you full bore amidships so that the
shrouds part. From my experience, CAL 25s tend to win these kinds of
altercations, so the other boat will probably sink as part of the
effort. What is your insurance deductible?
By the way, there is a boatyard guy in our CAL 25 Fleet who now has 3
CAL 25s as well.

Does anyone on the list have experience with rigging replacement and
coverage through insurance companies (e.g. BoatUS)?

P.S. Yes, I do realize that I am probably the only poor student boat
owner on this list and that this may be kind of an odd question ...

Great, Les. Not just the rhyme, but the tempo and meter as well. I
will hopefully be rid of the extra 25 feet (Hull 1845) very soon.
Structural work is done. Goes to one of my crew guys.
Never , never , NEVER, ever underestimate the amount of work that will
go into a rehab. (By the way, did I say never?) I can give my
estinating metrics if anybody is interested.
Looking forward to seeing you.
Cheers
Charlie
